Priyanka Chopra, was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand on July 18 to Dr. Ashok Chopra and Dr. Madhu Akhauri. Priyanka had a nomadic childhood because of her father’s job, who was in Indian army. For some years, Priyanka Chopra did her schooling in the US. She joined Jai Hind College in Mumbai, but left studies after winning the crown at the Miss World contest in 2000. Priyanka’s first movie was the Tamil film, ‘Thamizhan’ (2002). She entered Bollywood with the film ‘The Hero: Love Story Of A Spy’ in 2003. But she won Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for her performance in ‘Andaaz’ which released in the same year. Priyanka shocked the film fraternity with her chilling portrayal of a vamp in ‘Aitraaz’ (2004) and got the Filmfare Best Villain Award. Priyanka Chopra got her first Filmfare Best Actress Award for her film ‘Fashion’ (2008), where she played a model. She is known in the industry for her cool attitude and professionalism.
